Which babyballet class should I book

Our preschool dance syllabus has been carefully designed to ensure each child is taught the principles of ballet and tap at the right developmental level while boosting confidence, and of course having lots of fun.

Our programme fits well within the UK Government’s Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, with our classes providing the opportunity for babies and young children to learn and develop key life skills in a healthy and safe environment.

When signing your child up for a three-week trial, you will need to ensure they are within the age parameters outlined for each stage. If in doubt, please start in the lower age group to begin with as your teacher will liaise with you should your child need to move up a stage.

After registering, you will be sent an enrolment email full of information that will let you know what to expect. Please allow up to 48 hours to receive this email and double check your junk or spam folder!

Becoming a babyballet member

Following the introductory trial, you will receive an email containing all the details you need to continue with our classes and become a babyballet member. Along with term dates and information about how to make future payments to secure your place, you will be sent an invoice for the remaining weeks in the current term plus your one-off babyballet joining fee. Your little star will receive a Welcome Pack filled with fun and benefits for both you and them to enjoy.

Our fees are £6 per class for babyballet tots, tinies, movers and groovers, payable in half term blocks in advance. Tappers classes are available for movers and groovers starting at £3 per week. There is no need to sign up via the website again.

Meet the franchisee

Miss Charlotte – Franchisee and teacher

babyballet Motherwell

After training at the Manor School of Ballet, I went on to study child development and was fascinate about the way in which children learn, develop their skills and use their imagination that I longed to be a teacher.

Whilst studying to become a primary school teacher, I worked part time at a local babyballet school and fell in love! I believed that children should have the opportunity to turn dreams into reality and to be able to express themselves in a fun, safe and caring atmosphere.

From there, I became the proud owner of babyballet Lanarkshire Central. Running the babyballet school along with the senior school, Tap 2 Pointe, is a full time position however, in my spare time I still dance and love spending time with my family.

Appearing in dance displays, pantomimes, theatre shows and television performances since the age of 3 years, Miss Carrie loves theatre and dance. Her passion has seen her be a children’s entertainer in Butlins, on board a cruise ship in Miami and over the past 5 years, working for babyballet.

Miss Antonia – Teacher

I am an artist and a dancer. Overall, creativity is the essence of all the work I do. Joining the babyballet team in 2024, I have loved bringing babyballet classes to Cambuslang as well as teaching in East Kilbride. In January 2025, I launched babyballet Shine classes for children with additional support needs
and love working with the babyballet stars and their families.

I started dancing at age 2, at the June Roy School of Dance in Elgin. I studied a wide range of styles, and competed in Highland and National, winning titles across the UK at events such as the European Championships and the North of Scotland Championships, where I qualified as a Scottish Championship dancer. I received my Associates Teachers Qualification from the UKA Board of Dance in 2021 in Highland, after 6 years of study and examinations. I also attended a singing coach for ten years, as well as taking part in a short film for the Edinburgh Film Festival in 2018, which was aired on BBC Scotland. Now, I study literature at the University of Glasgow and enjoy teaching at Tap2Pointe and am so proud of all my dancers, seeing how far they’ve come in the last year of teaching them, and especially seeing new highland dancers develop a passion for it!

Miss Destiny – Teacher

Miss Macey – Teacher

Miss Macey is a babyballet teaching in our Motherwell studio. Fun fact, Miss Macey is originally from England and moved up to Scotland in 2019. Miss Macey’s love for dance started when she did her first ever musical
theatre class at age 7 and continued to do these classes until she was 12. She was lucky enough to perform in West End theatres such as The London Palladium and The Royal Albert Hall with her theatre group. When Miss Macey moved to Scotland, She joined a dance school where she furthered her training in all different dance styles. She also regularly competed around Scotland with solos, duets/ trios and group dances, which she loved. Currently Miss Macey is in her second year of college, working towards a degree in Musical Theatre. She absolutely loves using all of her knowledge in theatre and dance at babyballet and is excited to continue to help children discover their love for dance and see their confidence grow.

Miss Lisa started dancing from age 3 and then went on to gain a BA(hons) in Musical Theatre.
She has been very fortunate to have performed professionally in plays, production shows,
pantomimes and as a Lead Vocalist for Headliners Theatre Company onboard P&O cruise ships.
Miss Lisa is excited to inspire and nurture the next generation of Scottish Talent!

Miss Katherine – Teaching Assistant

Hi everybody, I’m Miss Katherine and I assist babyballet on Saturday mornings in
our Motherwell studio. I have been dancing at babyballet & Tap 2 Pointe since I
was 18 months!
I love dancing and I do styles such as: Commerical, Tap and Ballet on Thursday
in the Tap 2 Pointe Senior class with Miss Carrie!

Miss Molly started dancing with Babyballet when she was 2 years old. This is when she found her love for Ballet and Tap. She took part in a number of Babyballet shows from the age of 3which developed her love for performing on stage.
Miss Molly graduated to Tap 2 Pointe senior school after Babyballet where she also started to
learn Highland and Commercial dance. She has performed in a number of Tap 2 Pointe shows
over the years and at various events in the community including the switch on of the Christmas lights in Motherwell, hospitals and care homes for the elderly.
Miss Molly is a Senior in Tap 2 Pointe dance company and is now a Teaching Assistant at
Babyballet Baillieston.

Miss Molly May – Teaching Assistant

“My daughter Serena attends the babyballet Brighton and West Hove Movers class with Miss Lucy. We are only part way through the first term and I’m already wishing she’d started sooner! babyballet is exactly what I was looking for. Miss Lucy’s positive, fun approach makes the classes both accessible and rewarding. The mix of familiar songs and babyballet favourites totally caught Serena’s imagination from the beginning!”
