babyballet® Turns 19 Years Old!
It’s true! This month babyballet has reached the last of the teenage years, turning 19 years old at the start of September.
For our 19th birthday, we’re looking right back to day one of babyballet when our founder, Claire O’Connor, first opened her doors to an inclusive, diverse and supportive space for their children to enjoy dance.
Creating an environment where all children can enjoy dance has always been Claire’s mission. Since that first year in 2005, Claire has worked tirelessly to find incredible people from around the globe to join her in bringing the joy of babyballet to even more families.
babyballet has always been inclusive. This year we’re celebrating 19 years of staying true to our mission: to include and represent all children in the dance world.
We understand the importance of representation for our little babyballet stars and their families. Ensuring that every child can see someone who looks like themselves, whether that’s their skin colour, ethnicity, gender or ability, is essential if we are to inspire big dreams.

From this collaborative work and mission to continuously challenge ourselves to do even better, in August 2023 we partnered up with the brilliant people behind Shades Dancewear. See our beautiful range of skin toned ballet shoes and socks in our store here.
In August, Miss Holly and her team of little stars in Cardiff, Wales, welcomed the babyballet® Head Office team into their classes for a phenomenal brand photoshoot.
A fancy photography studio and staged models isn’t what we’re about. So, we were incredibly thankful when the wonderful Miss Holly stepped forward and invited us to capture her beautiful classes authentically, just as they are and oozing with that famous babyballet® magic.
