Children’s Activities Week 2019 at babyballet

Calling all superheroes!

We all have a favourite superhero. From Batman to Catwoman through to Wonder Woman and Spiderman, super heroes capture the imagination of us all – both young and old. At babyballet, we like nothing better than to dress up, which is why we’ve chosen to focus on the inner superhero in all of us, to draw attention to Children’s Activity Week 2019.

Now in its second successful year, this unique activity week is a 5-day celebration of all the clubs, classes and activities that take place every day across the UK. Which, of course, babyballet is very much a part of! Shining a light on the many benefits these activities bring to the lives of both parents/carers and children, Children’s Activity Week provides a fabulous opportunity and focus for kids across the country to stay healthy, fit and happy! And not forgetting the grown ups too. There’s a space and a place for everyone to take part.

Raising money for a fabulous cause

But it’s not just about tights and capes – there’s also another very important reason to take part which is to raise vital funds for two truly heroic causes: Caudwell Children and the Children’s Activities Association. These incredible organisations work tirelessly day in and day out to promote and support children with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) offering both assessments and interventions for them and their families.

Perhaps more exciting than anything else are the celebrities at the forefront of the campaign. Yes, it’s true – this year, two of CBBC’s most popular and wacky personalities – Dick and Dom – have lent their support to this important cause.

‘We are really looking forward to being the Ambassadors for Children’s Activities Week 2019 and we can’t wait to join in with lots of the amazing kids’ clubs and classes. We are honoured to be a part of such a wonderful celebration and a worthwhile cause. We encourage as many kids, parents and children’s activities leaders as possible to get involved too – Thank you!’

Join our sponsorship challenge to raise money for Children’s Activity Week

Of course, it’s not just Dick and Dom who have given their support. There are a whole range of other partners and sponsors involved in Children’s Activities Week, including babyballet! Famous as they are, we’re not sure Dick and Dom are quite in the same league as Twinkle and Teddy which is why we’ve set our little ones and their families our own fundraising #WatchMeFly themed fancy dress challenge.

To find out more about how you and your family can get involved in #WatchMeFly and raise money as a babyballet family, please ask your teacher or go to our website. There are lots of activities and resources to take part in including some super cute colouring sheets! You can also find out where funds raised will go and who how they will benefit each charity.
