UPDATE FOR OUR CLASSES IN ENGLAND:

Here at babyballet, like all other industries, we are saddened to learn that our physical classes cannot continue during the upcoming lockdown in England. That being said, the babyballet magic will not disappear…

Please look out for specific information from your local babyballet school and bear with our wonderful franchisees and teachers, as they are working tirelessly to make new arrangements and communicate with you as swiftly as possible. (Please note, this applies to all babyballet classes in England. Classes in Wales are also currently closed until 9th November. However this does not apply to our classes in Scotland which, at present, are still running with social distancing and additional measures in place).

In the meantime, we are looking forward to bringing you lots of babyballet magic online – with boogie times, sing-a-longs and story times from the babyballet characters, there will be plenty of opportunities to keep dancing at home.

Our final wish, is that you squeeze your little star tightly today, and let them know that although we will miss them, their babyballet teacher is counting down the days until they can see them again in person again.

With love, from all at babyballet x

23rd September 2020

Keep calm and babyballet® on!

After the new Government announcement yesterday, we wanted to reassure you that our classes can remain open and we can continue to dance with you and your little ones in person.

Rest assured that we are constantly reviewing the guidelines and working alongside the brilliant ‘Covid-19 Risk Assessments’, to ensure that our classes can continue in a safe and secure way.

We have had nothing but excellent feedback from you all about returning to our classes so far, but here is a little reminder of just some of the additional guidelines that make our babyballet® classes safe …

babyballet classes are available for children from 6 months to 6 years old with additional safety measures in place

9th September 2020

To our babyballet® family … after today’s announcement, we would like to reassure you about our continued SAFE return to classes.

Everyone at babyballet® has been working incredibly hard behind the scenes to complete their covid-safety training, undertake full risk assessments, and work with local authorities to ensure classes are as safe as possible. Not to mention we have lots of additional guidance in place and most importantly are practising social distancing in all of our classes.

Here are just a few examples of the things you can expect upon your return:

  • Mats placed in a socially distanced manner
  • Small but important changes to our syllabus to ensure social distancing
  • Controlled entry / exits and one way systems where possible
  • Hand washing facilities
  • Appropriate use of face coverings (this might be ‘mask to mat’ in some settings so you can remove your mask once in position – face coverings may need to be kept on in others)
  • Smaller class sizes where required
  • Thorough cleaning measures and no shared equipment
  • Plus many, many more measures and guidelines communicated in advance.

The safety of our babyballet® stars, customers, staff and franchisees is of our upmost importance and we also want to ensure you feel confident and relaxed bringing your little star back to class.

Please watch out for any further updates from your local babyballet® school and contact us if you have any questions at all.

WE CAN’T WAIT TO DANCE BACK WITH YOU VERY SOON!

27th July 2020

Over the past 4 months, we have taught thousands of online dance classes, continuing to bring smiles and magic to our little stars and their families throughout the pandemic.

Online classes at babyballet throughout the pandemic

Although we are optimistic that a return to class isn’t too far away, the guidance still isn’t fully clear for us specifically, so we are working hard ‘backstage’ to make sure we find out exactly what is required of us, as well as putting all the essential safety measures and requirements in place before we dance back into class.

We are going to be tip-toeing back to classes slowly and carefully rather than galloping at speed because the safety and well-being of our teachers, franchisees, grown ups and babyballet® stars is always our number one priority.

However, please rest assured that we are doing EVERYTHING we can to transition back into classes safely and effectively including working alongside the Children’s Activities Association, local authorities and our venues to be as thorough as we can at all times.

As excited as we are to see our babyballet® stars again, it is essential that we don’t rush this next step; therefore we appreciate and thank you for your patience to make sure that babyballet® will truly be ‘where little boys and girls safely love to dance’.

Throughout August, whilst most babyballet® schools are taking a well-earned Summer break from teaching, they are working hard as we prepare for a safe and effective transition back to class.

New customers are still welcome to join us and you should register your interest to ensure your child can dance with us as soon as our doors re-open. Click here to find out more.

In areas where online classes are continuing throughout August (especially at babyballet schools in Scotland) upon booking you will receive information about virtual classes for your little one to take part in at home. Later, when our physical classes return, we will send you all the information you need to continue dancing with us at one of our class venues.

To our babyballet® members, please look out for further information from your local babyballet® school to update you on their progress as they move through our four steps to ‘dancing back to classes’ (please see below).

30th June 2020

We are delighted to release our four steps to successfully reopening our classes in venues. As the well-being of our franchisees, teachers, grown ups and babyballet® stars is always our main priority, we are working hard ‘backstage’ to ensure we can return safely and with confidence.

No definite dates have been put on these steps because there is no guarantee as to when these will be. We don’t want to over promise and let anyone down and we must ensure we have everything in place to make our transition a safe and effective one. If you are already a babyballet® member, your local babyballet school will contact you as we move through these steps.

babyballet 4 step plan to return to physical classes after the pandemic

18th March 2020

Due to the current Coronavirus we have had to take action with regards to our classes. We have taken the decision to move our classes online with immediate effect. The health and well-being of our babyballet® stars and their families is always at the forefront of everything we do, which is why we are following the Government’s advice so closely.

babyballet classes ‘tutu’ you!

We will not let our babyballet stars down, they do not understand why so many changes are happening at the moment, so keeping their normal class going is a priority for us!

We have set up online classes for all customers current and new to enjoy. Children will still receive the magic of a babyballet® class, the interaction with our amazing class teachers and the exercise and entertainment they still need whilst they are at home.
