Which babyballet class should I book

Our preschool dance syllabus has been carefully designed to ensure each child is taught the principles of ballet and tap at the right developmental level while boosting confidence, and of course having lots of fun.

Our programme fits well within the UK Government’s Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, with our classes providing the opportunity for babies and young children to learn and develop key life skills in a healthy and safe environment.

When signing your child up for a three-week trial, you will need to ensure they are within the age parameters outlined for each stage. If in doubt, please start in the lower age group to begin with as your teacher will liaise with you should your child need to move up a stage.

After registering, you will be sent an enrolment email full of information that will let you know what to expect. Please allow up to 48 hours to receive this email and double check your junk or spam folder!

Becoming a babyballet member

Following the introductory trial, you will receive an email containing all the details you need to continue with our classes and become a babyballet member. Along with term dates and information about how to make future payments to secure your place, you will be sent an invoice for the remaining weeks in the current term plus your one off babyballet membership fee. This covers your child’s insurance for the class, together with a membership pack. You can read more about what’s included here

Our fees are £5.25 per class for babyballet tots and £5.50 per class for babyballet tinies, movers and groovers, payable in half term blocks in advance. Tappers classes are available for movers and groovers starting at £2.50 per week. There is no need to sign up via the website again.

Meet the teachers

Miss Heather has 8 teachers who teach babyballet dance classes to little stars in Bradford …

Miss Viki – Teacher

Miss Viki has been dancing from a young age just like your little stars! She completed her BA in Dance at Newcastle College and Hull New College and then continued her studies at Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts. After college she worked professionally in London. She is thrilled to part of the team as ballet has always been a passion of hers.

She then started her professional dance training at Scottish Ballet Associates and later at The Dance School of Scotland. She then obtained her BA (HONS) at Northern School of Contemporary Dance, graduating in 2016. She is excited to be a part of the team and looking forward to dance with all you little babyballet stars!

Miss Cheyenne – Teacher

I have been dancing since I was around 4 years old. Ballet was the first style of dance that I showed interest in but as I got older, I also started to train in street dance and contemporary dance. I studied dance at Leeds Beckett university. I am now sharing my passion for dance with the new generation of dancers through teaching classes with babyballet.

Miss Shirley – Teacher

Shirley’s early training took place in Huddersfield, York and London. She was awarded a 5 year scholarship with the Royal Academy of Dance.  Her teachers included  Dame Margot Fonteyn and Dame Marie Rambert, her other teachers included many of the stars of the Royal Ballet. As a student Shirley was selected to dance in Les Sylphides in Leeds with the Royal Ballet touring company. Shirley’s teaching career began in 1980.  She has run her own schools and has successfully taught the Royal Academy of Dance grades syllabus  at dance schools across East and North Yorkshire.  She can’t wait to meet you all and is very sure that you will have lots of fun together and enjoy learning babyballet.

Miss Aymie – Teacher

I trained at a gymnastics club in Leeds at my first competition in Yorkshire I won a gold and bronze medal as well as a 4th overall ribbon! Whilst at gymnastics I also coached my own group of elite gymnasts aged 2-16 helping them prepare for competitions. I also worked for 6 months in the under 2’s rooms at a nursery but left due to going back to college to carry on studying! I wanted to work for babyballet as I love working with children and  I thoroughly enjoy learning as well as teaching dance. I hope to help young children enjoy themselves partaking in ballet as much as I enjoy leading it!

Miss Fay – Teacher

Miss Fay has danced for as long as she can remember! As a child she trained at Katie Philpotts School of Dance and further at Huddersfield New College. She has always had a passion for teaching dance and helping others and is now teaching PE and Dance in primary school across Huddersfield, as well as babyballet and older children at another dance school! She is excited to become a babyballet teacher as she is friendly, bubbly, and easily approachable. She loves to share her happiness and there is no better way to do this than through her passion.

Miss Ama – Teacher

Miss Ama is a fun, loving and enthusiastic individual who has thrived through dance. She has over 20 years of dance experience in Ballet, Tap and Modern and has taken part in numerous dance shows and performed locally in Bradford whether that be at St Georges Hall, The Alhambra, Blackpool Winter Gardens or at the West End in London. She has tonnes of experience with working with children from dinky dots to teenagers and is currently in the process of training to become a Primary School teacher. I want to become a part of the babyballet team as I love the company ethos as well as, the difference these fun exciting and engaging dance exercises make an impact on a child’s life.

Miss Casey – Teacher

Miss Casey-Jade attended her first freestyle Dance class at the age of 6 and did many shows and competed across the UK up until the age of 18. After leaving school at 16 she attended Leeds City College to study my level 3 diploma in dance. Whilst at college she furthered her knowledge in dance and learned many other styles such as lyrical, ballet, jazz and commercial as well as also doing a little bit of musical theatre. After College she went to University to Study Dance and performance at Bucks New University. She is now doing an apprenticeship and has completed her level 2 & 3 in Childcare and currently works in a nursery setting.

Miss Casey-Jade wanted to work for babyballet® as she loves working with children and has a passion for dancing and wants to share this and have fun with the next generation of little stars.

Miss Emma – Teacher

Hi, I’m Miss Emma  and I have been dancing since I was 2.5 years old. I started dancing doing ballet, tap, modern, contemporary, jazz and many many more styles of dance throughout the years. I’ve had incredible opportunities dancing on London theatre stages, Wembley and many places in and around Bradford. I’ve trained as a dance teacher at the British Ballet Organisation, have a level 3 childcare and have spent a lot of time in and out of schools and nurseries enjoying looking after little ones.  I’m so looking forward to teaching your little ones! My passion is dance and I love little children so bringing my passions together is my dream. I love that moment when children get it and begin to explore and enjoy all the things babyballet has to offer.

“I’d always dreamed of running my own ballet school so when I heard that babyballet were looking to expand their franchises – well, it just felt like the right time for me to go ahead with my plan. For me babyballet gives children something far more meaningful than learning to dance. It gives them confidence and a real joy in dance that I don’t think I’ve seen before. The babyballet team are really supportive of me and nothing is ever too much trouble.”
