Claire O’Connor: What the babyballet® Confidence Collection Means to Me
There are moments in business that feel truly special… and seeing our new babyballet confidence collection range come to life has been one of them.
Standing on set during our recent shoot, watching everything come together, I had one of those “pinch me” moments. Because this collection isn’t just about uniform. It represents something much deeper, something that has been at the heart of babyballet from the very beginning ✨
Confidence.
From day one, my vision has always been to create a space where every child feels like they can. A place where they feel seen, valued and proud of who they are. This new collection has been designed to reflect exactly that.
Bringing our characters to life
Twinkle, Teddy and Flutterstar the Fairy have always played a very special role in babyballet. They were created to help us share our values with little stars, encouraging confidence, imagination and a love of movement in a way that feels natural and fun.
That’s why it felt so important to bring them into this collection. Seeing them featured across the range helps carry those same feelings from the classroom into everyday moments.
A collection designed for confidence
Every detail in this collection has been carefully considered, from soft, comfortable fabrics to designs that allow children to move freely and feel at ease. One piece that feels especially meaningful to me is the Claudia tutu, named after my daughter. It’s playful, sparkly and full of personality, and for me, it perfectly captures the spirit of babyballet.
For every little star
It has always been incredibly important to me that ballet feels accessible to every child. That means creating a space where boys feel just as welcome as girls, and where every child feels comfortable, included and able to take part.
This collection reflects that, with pieces designed for all little dancers, including T-shirts, hoodies and shorts that are perfect for every child.
More than just a uniform
For me, this collection is about more than what children wear to class.
It’s about how they feel when they put it on, confident, comfortable and like they belong. Because when a child feels confident in themselves, something really special happens.
They begin to believe they can.
They begin to shine.
